Brandy Melville has been making waves in the US starting in LA, then NY, and now Boston! This LA-inspired Italian brand welcomed in the gorgeous weather and excited 'Brandy girls' on opening day last Friday, March 29 on Newbury Street (across the street from Forever 21).
I stopped in the shop that Saturday, shortly after learning about the brand's existence from a friend over brunch. I was pleasantly surprised by the 'lax' yet chic vibe. The interior is almost entirely wooden, feeling very rustic/coastal. They also shamelessly used Anthropologie bowls & IKEA hangers to display their merchandise - whimsical, no? :)
Although not everything appealed to my personal style, (especially the super teeny tiny cropped T-shirts that borderline toddler clothes - see below) I could see how Brandy Melville has been so successful. They offer something for every girl by mixing in polka dot skirts with graphic tees, punky accessories with chunky sweaters, and oddly make it work!
After making my rounds through the store, I was compelled to buy an arrow necklace and a black tee - the shirt was so soft I couldn't resist!

One strange thing about Brandy Melville is that everything but their denim is "One Size Fits Most."
As a first time customer, I'm having trouble understanding how that works... What do you think? Do you shop Brandy Melville?
