Happy Saturday, everyone! I spent today at the Urban Art Bar in South Boston to support a friend who will be walking the Susan G. Komen 3 Day in a few weeks. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to help raise breast cancer awareness while learning to paint elephants in an exotic sunset!

I am proud to say that I know three strong women who have fought and won their battles against breast cancer. Their optimism, faith, and passion for life is contagious.

As much as I love a plain chambray, it's always fun to add a statement necklace to give the shirt an extra something. Collar necklaces add dimension to even a simple tee. Also, high-waisted shorts are my best friend in the summer because I have short legs. I've found that for petite girls, high waisted anything creates the illusion of longer legs.

In the U.S. about 12% of women develop invasive breast cancer over their lifetime (source). It's a scary reality, but the bright side is that there are many survivors and many people dedicated to help end this fight. If you're like me and the idea of physical activity for 3 days is daunting, one way you can still support the cause is by donating money. Here is my friend's support page! Although she has reached her goal, every dollar makes a difference. It would mean the world to me if you could give just $1. :)
Thanks for reading! I wish you all good health & happy days.
