travel hack: one jumpsuit, three ways.

feat. In My Hood Jumpsuit c/o Tobi
Packing for a one day work trip used to make me extremely stressed. My clothes had to be comfortable enough for the airplane, formal enough for office meetings, and fun enough that I could get dinner & drinks with friends after work... all while fitting into a small sized bag. Well, don’t you worry friends because I have found the perfect solution - a versatile jumpsuit (like this one) will make same day traveling a breeze. By switching up layers and accessories, a single black jumpsuit transforms into 3 different looks. Added bonus - it all fits into one tote bag!

LOOK 1: IN TRANSIT - comfy tee shirt, bomber, sandals

Sandals on your feet make it easy to get through airport security. Layer a t-shirt over the jumpsuit and throw on a bomber to stay warm on the plane.  It doesn't hurt to have the cute little puppy pocket for company. :) Add a decent sized tote bag and you're airport bound.

Bomber: TJMaxx
Bag: Everlane (also seen here)
Sandals: MaxMara (also seen here)

LOOK 2: MEETING READY - blazer, pumps, clutch

Replace your tee & bomber combo with a blazer and switch out your sandals for pumps. Depending on the neckline of your jumpsuit, you'll want to make sure you're wearing a tank underneath to cover up. Ditch the tote for a portfolio clutch that has all your paperwork and go rock your meetings.

Blazer: H&M
Clutch: Stella McCartney Beckett Clutch (also seen here)

Pumps: Calvin Klein

LOOK 3: NIGHT SCENE - bandeau, red lip

Bare your shoulders for the night is young! Add another cuff bracelet to balance your accessories and layer your jumpsuit with a crop top or bandeau. The cherry on top: a red lip.

Memorial Day is right around the corner and for those of us who work in the retail industry, this means summer Fridays! *insert applause & happy dance* Packing for a weekend getaway is much more exciting than packing for a business trip. However, we all experience the stress of getting everything to fit in a reasonably sized bag. Weeding out those extra pairs of shoes and different jacket options is not as easy as it seems.

The secret to successful packing is all about planning your outfits so that you can style one piece into many. This summer, go showcase that flowy maxi that will look beautiful in a beach photo opp, blowing in the wind during sunset & over a cute hiking outfit.

Happy travels!

love, MH<3
