i'm not superman.

If there's anything to be said about this past year in NY, it's that the #NYCGRIND is real. That "can't stop, won't stop," "work hard, play hard," "city that never sleeps," talk... it's all very real.

Every day at work has been scheduled to the minute. I've been nonstop traveling while catching up with friends and family in between, upholding Maid of Honor duties for my bestie who's getting married this weekend(!!!), and plugging into a church community to call home. I must say, I'm very happy with myself for making it through to October of 2016, but I'm also so sorry for the blog neglect!

Whenever I've felt bogged down or overwhelmed this year, my go-to top has been this striped high low tee. The length in the back gives a cape illusion and makes me feel like superman: ready to conquer anything! It's perfect to wear on warmer days with shorts and sneakers or layer up on cooler days with jeans and a jacket. In the dead of winter, I like to wear a thin turtleneck under this shirt and voila, you have a year round piece.

Through all the madness I've finally accepted the fact that I'm not superman. I need my rest and time to recharge. I need to catch up on my Netflix and shamelessly eat a bag of chocolate.

& You know what? That's okay.

It's been a difficult learning process to get to this point but one of my friends recently said it best:

when work is kicking your butt, find peace in God and not your abilities.

Here's to that #NYCGRIND. You got this!
