My favorite part about living in NYC is how centrally located it is for northeast travel. In 5 hours I can be in Vermont for a ski getaway, in 3 hours I can be in a quaint beach town on Long Island, and in less than 2 hours I can be back in my home away from home, the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia.

The beauty of Philly is the constantly changing city skyline. The new buildings juxtapose the old. The architectural elements look out of place based on my memories, but have found a home nonetheless. Philly is a strange time capsule of a city for me - one that I wish never changed and always stayed as I remember it.

However, not even cities are immune to the cyclical nature of life. Just as some fashion trends come and go and come back again, some buildings will be restored, replaced, or renovated. I'm forever indebted to Philly for teaching me how to balance the old with the new. It's proved valuable in my relationships, my career, and my wardrobe.
